Do I need this now?
We cannot go back and make a new start,
but we can start now to make a new ending!
I told my daughter, "If you keep using the word 'awesome,' what are you going to say when Jesus comes back?" She didn't miss a beat and answered, "What up, Dude?" Sounds about right to me.

I totally understand your feelings about "giving up" on a friendship (marriage, too). But there are times in our lives where we just have to move on. We can't keep pretending it's going to work because as much as we try to force the situation, it just won't work.
There's nothing wrong with letting go of toxic friendships (marriages, too). It's what YOU have to do to survive. YOU have to be healthy.. and not live for bad blood in your life.
You have daughters to take care of, a vacation to plan, and a move to make ~ that's where your energy should be focused on.
Now go & have fun at Leesa's!

I know you don't need this now. But maybe, you are just doing a clean sweep. Cleaning out the relationships that are caustic. Setting down old ways and people so that there is room for healthier, more nurturing relationships. Kinda like pruning back the rosebush to stubs so that next year the growth will be vigorous and lush.
I think at some point, knowing you, you will want to put some things in writing. You may never send it but once on paper you can burn it. Only you can know what is best for you and your soul.
Big hugs Red.
